It is with regret that Torpoint AFC have to announce that after 12 years Paul Whitworth has resigned as chairman. Due to securing a new job which takes Paul away from Torpoint during the week, Paul has decided that he needs to step down from the role as he cannot continue to dedicate his time to the club.

We’d like to place on record our thanks to Paul who led the club through some troubled times and put the club in a far more stable position. This would not have been possible without his hard work and dedication.

Thankfully Paul will remain on the committee in an advisory position so the club will continue to benefit from the knowledge he’s built up over his 30-year association with Torpoint AFC.

An announcement on a new chairman will be made shortly.
