Under the new management of Richard Cherry and assistant Jack Brown-Porter, Wellington travel to The Mill looking to get revenge for our two victories last season which saw The Tangerines finish 15th in the league.
Wellington were founded in 1896 and have played in the Toolstation Western League since 1978 - mainly in Division One but in the Premier Division for the last 6 seasons.
Wellington travel to Cornwall after consecutive 2-0 losses against Shepton Mallet and Bideford in the league and FA Cup respectively. The Point will be hoping for a similar outcome but The Tangerines will be looking for similar (or better) fortunes to their last trip to Cornwall on the opening day where they drew 2-2 with Matt Cusack’s Helston Athletic.
Last Meeting: Wellington 1-5 Torpoint Athletic (15th April 2023, TWL)
