This is Oldland & Abbotonians’ first season at Step 5 following their promotion from Toolstation Western League Division 1 last term.

The club formed back in 1998 through the merger of Longwell Green Abbotonians and Oldland. The club moved up through the Somerset County Leagues and were promoted to Western League Division 1 in 2007 where they remained until this season.

Going into the game, The Abbotonians sit in 16th position in the league after winning vs Saltash United on the opening day but falling to defeat in the 6 games since. Last time out, they were beaten by 5th placed Bridgwater United.

The ‘Point go into the game off the back of victory last weekend vs Ilfracombe Town and will be hoping that it kickstarts our campaign following a run of poorer results. Dean will be hoping for another good performance from the squad going into next weekend’s FA Vase tie at Wadebridge.
