Torpoint manager Dean Cardew said: “It was a great win, particularly coming from 1-0 down at a very difficult place to go.
“I didn’t feel like we were quite at it in the first half, although it was a wonder goal that separated us, I still felt like we were slightly off our own level."
“The important thing was to not go 2-0 down and if so I always believed we would get something, but we raised our level straight away in the second half and I felt we were always on the front foot from there."
“We had to hold on at the end as Newquay naturally threw everything at us for their equaliser but we defended our box brilliantly and I feel like we deserved the win.”
